About the Event

Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of two trailblazing organizations revolutionizing the food industry in Montreal. This immersive experience will take you deep into the heart of the circular food economy, showcasing how innovative approaches to food production, distribution, and resource optimization are paving the way for a more sustainable future.

  • Stop 1: Centrale Agricole

Explore Canada's largest urban agricultural cooperative, where collaboration and sustainability intersect. Discover how this vibrant hub brings together farmers, food artisans, and circular economy innovators to share resources, reduce waste, and grow food sustainably. From vertical farming to composting initiatives, you'll see firsthand how shared infrastructure is transforming the local food system while fostering community resilience.

  • Stop 2: Ferme Lufa

Step into the world's first commercial rooftop greenhouse, where urban agriculture meets cutting-edge technology. At Ferme Lufa, learn how food can be grown hyper-locally and sustainably, even in dense urban environments. See how their closed-loop systems recycle water, minimize energy use, and eliminate food miles while delivering fresh, organic produce to thousands of households.
